Weekly Auctions With Treasures by the Locks
Did you know that we run weekly auctions on our Facebook page?
Every Monday, at 9:00 am, a selection of up to 40 items are posted in that day’s Photo Album. All interested bidders have to do is comment on each item with their bid. Bidding is open until 9:00 pm that day, and everyone gets their totals the next morning.
It’s super easy.
This format is nice because it allows us to keep our auction all together in one spot without spamming everyone’s timelines with stuff.
How Do Facebook Auctions Work?
We schedule our item selection to post for 9:00 am every Monday.
Once everything is posted, all you have to do is click into the first post from that morning, or go to our page and click Photos > Albums > Date, where ‘Date’ is whatever day that auction is running (for example, February 12!).
Scroll through the pictures to see what’s listed, and when you see something you like, just click on its picture and leave a comment with the opening bid. That information is detailed in the picture description.

Can I Have Items Listed For Auction?
Only our vendors are able to have items listed, we don’t take consignments at this time. It’s just a little too much for us to juggle.

Do You Ship?
Yes, we ship! Buyers pay a $5 packing fee for each package we send out, plus the shipping fee from Canada Post. Expect to pay, at minimum, $15 for shipping into the USA or across Canada, depending on the size of package. We don’t control the shipping fee—this is something we’ll have to ramble about another time.
Can I Place My Max Bid Like HiBid?
Unfortunately, no. Facebook won’t bid up to your max bid the way HiBid does, so if you comment with the maximum amount you’re willing to pay, that’s your bid.
If you’re going to be away during the day and want us to bid on your behalf, contact us before 8:00 pm on auction day and we’ll do that for you. This is handy if you don’t have a Facebook account, too, and we’ll keep you updated on progress.
