Sacred Heart Catholic Rosary Medal, Antique Metal Detecting Find From Spain

A well-loved Sacred Heart Catholic Rosary Medal and metal detector find. The previous owner happened upon this beautiful medal while on a trip to Spain. If it doesn’t sell before the summer then I see it as a sign to make it into a necklace for myself.

This prayer-worn piece bears a beautiful patina on both sides from its years of being hidden away from the world. Jesus Christ Himself is visible on the front, His heart aglow, and on the back is His sacred mother holding him as a baby. Much of the detail remains, though you can see where the original owner rubbed away some of Mother and Child during their years of prayer.

We think this Sacred Heart pendant is from the 1600s.
